£45,624 per annum

New College Lanarkshire is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head of Centre to lead our nursery team and ensure the delivery of high-quality early years education and care.

Recruiting a highly motivated Head of Centre ensures high-quality practices in the provision of childcare in New College Lanarkshire, Cumbernauld Campus Nursery and to undertake the operational planning and management process within the day to day running of the nursery.

The Head of Centre will hold a qualification at SCQF level 9.  You will have relevant experience of working in Early Learning and Childcare and be able to demonstrate the required skills and competencies of the role.  You will be responsible for the planning, implementation and management of a high-quality service which is appropriate to the needs of children and families within the nursery. In addition, you will have responsibility for supporting and challenging colleagues in the development of their own practice.

Applicants must hold a relevant practitioner qualification recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council which allows you to be registered as a Manager/Lead Practitioner with the Scottish Social Services Council.

This position is also subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
