SENIOR EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER

Cumbernauld Campus Nursery

35 hours per week

£34,615 per annum

Hours between 8.00am and 6.00pm

New College Lanarkshire is recruiting a highly motivated Senior Early Years Practitioner to ensure high quality practices in the provision of childcare in New College Lanarkshire, Cumbernauld Campus Nursery and to undertake a key role in the operational planning and management process, assisting the manager in the day to day running of the nursery and taking overall responsibility when the Manager is out of the building, including when the Manager is on Annual Leave.

The Senior Early Years Practitioner will hold a qualification at SCQF level 9 and have relevant experience of working in Early Learning and Childcare and will be able to demonstrate the required skills and competencies of the role. You will support the planning, implementation and management of a high quality service which is appropriate to the needs of children and families within the nursery. You will have responsibility for supporting and challenging colleagues in the development of their own practice.

Applicants must hold a relevant practitioner qualification recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council, and must also hold or be working towards a qualification which allows you to be registered as a Manager/Lead Practitioner with the Scottish Social Services Council

This position is also subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
