LECTURER – Science and Animal Care
Coatbridge Campus
35 hours per week
Temporary from August 2024 – January 2025
£35,170-£43,357 per annum pro rata
The Lanarkshire Institute of Science and Technology is currently looking for a lecturer in Science in the Science and Animal Care section to deliver across a range of courses from SCQF level 3 to level 7 in Biology and related life sciences.
With broad demonstrable experience in the relevant discipline, you will have the skills necessary to support the teaching and development of these curriculum areas and hold a recognised qualification.
You should be qualified to a BSc level (SCQF level 8/9) or above and ideally have appropriate industry experience. Possession of a teaching qualification, and assessor or verifier units would be advantageous, and ideally you will have experience in teaching or training in your subject area.
An effective communicator and a highly motivated individual, you will have a passion for the subject and the ability to work to deadlines both within a team setting, and on your own.
We are also looking for people to join our pool of Temporary Lecturers in the Science and Animal Care section in the following subject areas:
- Biology and related life sciences.
- Animal Care
- Environmental Science
- Plant Biology and Horticulture
- Food Science
