Part-time Lecturer in Social Sciences - Maternity Cover

An opportunity has arisen to join the Learning & Teaching team at Newbattle to cover maternity leave. This role is as a part-time Lecturer in Social Sciences, and the college is looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual with experience of teaching Social Science subjects. The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in the relevant subjects, and while a Post Graduate teaching qualification or TQFE is desirable, it is not essential. We would be particularly pleased to consider candidates with a background in Sociology, although the ability to teach a range of subjects would be a distinct advantage.

Some experience of working in Further Education in Scotland would be an advantage, as would a good knowledge of technology to support delivery of online learning and teaching.
