Automotive Lead  (Modern Apprenticeship Training) (Ref A952)

Full Time/Permanent/ Aberdeen Altens/Fraserburgh Campus

Salary:  £39,178.84 - £42,947.28 (+pay award £1,500 from 1 September 2024) per annum

 

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated professional to join our Modern Apprenticeship team to lead our Automotive Vocational programme.   Reporting to the Employer Engagement Manager, your experience will help you establish and develop strong relationships with local automotive employers and support the delivery of vocational qualifications in the workplace.

 

We would ideally like you to be a fully qualified Vocational Assessor (or be prepared to work towards this) with an SVQ level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) and you must have excellent communication and presentation skills with a proven track record of motivating young learners to succeed.

 

If you are a highly effective team player who actively supports colleagues, have the ability to build and maintain effective Employer/Apprentice relationships, and have relevant industry experience, we want you to come and join our team.

 

This post will involve the assessment of automotive apprentices in the workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  1. Educated to SVQ3 level or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  2. Assessor and verifier training qualifications*
  3. Evidence of continuous professional development

 

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

 

  1. Up to date vocational experience in the relevant industry area.
  2. Experience as a trainer or experience of training staff in the relevant area
  3. Up to date industry knowledge in the relevant area
  4. Knowledge of the type of programmes available in further education
  5. Knowledge of a range of assessment methods.

  1. Oral and written communication skills
