Instructor/Assessor in Painting and Decorating (Ref. No. A955) 

Full Time/Permanent/Altens Campus

Salary: £31,892.79 - £35,976.26 per annum (pay award pending – current offer additional £1.5K per annum)

 

We are looking to recruit a dynamic Painting & Decorating practitioner to join our Construction team.

 

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Painter and Decorator with an SVQ level 3 qualification and preferably an Advanced Craft or HNC level or equivalent qualification in the subject area. They will have excellent communication and presentation skills and a proven track record of engaging with learners that results in motivating them to succeed.

If you are a highly effective team player who actively supports colleagues, have the ability to build and maintain effective teacher/learner relationships with students and experienced but unqualified workers on site and have relevant industry experience, we want you to come and join our team.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  1. Educated to SVQ Level 3 (SCQF Level 7) or equivalent in Painting and Decorating
  2. Hold an Advanced Craft qualification in Painting and Decorating*
  3. Hold an HNC or equivalent in a Construction discipline*
  4. Assessor training qualifications*
  5. Evidence of continuous professional development

 

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

 

  1. Up to date industry experience in Painting and Decorating
  2. Experience as a trainer or experience of training staff in Painting and Decorating*
  3. Up to date industry knowledge in Painting and Decorating
  4. Knowledge of the type of programmes available in further education
  5. Knowledge of a range of assessment methods.
