Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful applicant for this post will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by OaKley ASN Ltd
OaKley ASN is a pioneering charity based just outside Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people with Additional Support Needs (ASN) and their families. With the imminent opening of our brand new purpose built resource centre which will empower children and young people through tailored programs, sensory experiences, and essential life skills development we are now offering an exceptional opportunity for an ASN Development Manager to take a leading role in building something truly transformative from the ground up. This role offers the chance to shape services, oversee staff recruitment and development, and design impactful programs that will make a real difference in the lives of children and families.
The ideal candidate will bring a relevant degree in education, social care, or child development, along with experience in managing teams, and multi-agency collaboration. They should have strong knowledge of quality assurance frameworks, safeguarding protocols, and national child protection guidance. Most importantly they should have significant experience supporting children/young people and families with additional support needs, ideally in a leadership or senior management role.
