We’re looking for four Qualification Engagement Practitioners to join the newly created Schools Partnership team in our Qualifications Development directorate. This is an exciting time to join the team and be part of real change in the future of education in Scotland.
We are looking to pull together a team with a broad experience in the delivery of qualifications in Scotland’s classrooms. We would welcome applications from all subject areas and in particular social subjects and science.
As Qualification Engagement Practitioner, you will be a vital link between schools and the organisation . You will have the opportunity to lead engagement with the school sector to co-design our services and future qualifications. To do this you must have experience in the following specific duties:
- Leading engagement with key stakeholders
- Gather and synthesise feedback to inform the design and development of the reform of senior phase qualifications.
- Work closely with schools to pilot and evaluate approaches to assessment
- Provide subject-specific expertise to support the development and reform of qualifications
You must also have the following skills and experience:
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Practicing teacher with deep subject knowledge and classroom experience
- Experience in curriculum and assessment development
- educated to SCQF level 10 and/or be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience for this role
This is a fixed term role or secondment until March 2027.
