The Directorate Children and Young People (DCYP) is a highly complex organisation employing c.1000 personnel which includes Teachers, MoD Broader Band Civil Servants, Soulbury Grades, Locally Employed Civilians and Contractors in multiple worldwide locations. The headquarters team also include a small number of military posts.
This post is one of several ISE posts within the team and is located at Queen Victoria School, Dunblane. The others being located in Belgium, Germany & Cyprus. You will report to the Senior ISE based in Belgium.
It is an exciting opportunity to join and shape the future of MOD Schools, and the primary responsibility of this particular post is to provide dedicated ICT support for Queen Victoria Schools. The successful candidate will have a strong hands on background and experience in IT systems support and back end server management. They will also be responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of technical and support services to maintain and develop the integrity of the network, while providing technical support for all QVS school devices.
The DCYP ICT Team manages the MOD Schools WAN, an in house developed system, which provides the IT platform for all schools and satellite DCYP sites across the world. Currently we support sites in UK, Germany, Belgium, Cyprus, The Netherlands, Gibraltar, Italy, the Falkland Islands and Brunei. You will work collaboratively with the wider team to create integrated processes, system development and deliver excellent customer service through Continuous Service Improvement.
