The Gordonian Association, established in 1900, aims to:

  • Promote and maintain cooperation among Gordonians, both at home and abroad;
  • Further the welfare of Gordonians;
  • Provide support and assistance;
  • Establish Gordonian Sports Sections; and
  • Act as a parent Association to branches worldwide, fostering a strong relationship with Robert Gordon’s College in all matters related to the College’s welfare.

This newly created role of Gordonian Association Administrator offers a unique opportunity to support and strengthen the College’s alumni network. As the primary point of contact between the Gordonian Association (GA) and Robert Gordon’s College, the Administrator will play a key role in fostering positive relationships among stakeholders. The role involves close collaboration with alumni, the Gordonian Association Executive, and College staff to enhance engagement and ensure the successful delivery of events, publications, and communications.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Gordonian Association Functions, including attending quarterly GA Executive meetings, provide data to help RGC Advancement team maintain Raiser’s Edge, serve as a contact point for Gordonians and GA Office Bearers, increase alumni awareness of GA activities and objectives.

Events Management: organise Gordonian Association events, including annual dinners and alumni activities, in collaboration with the RGC Advancement Team.

Publications: assist in gathering content for official publications, such as the Pelican and the RGC newsletter, ensuring timely and accurate updates.

Social Media Management: oversee the Gordonian Association’s social media channels to maintain engaging and relevant communication.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience in IT systems and programmes, administration, events management and GDPR training are all highly desirable skills.
