Robert Gordon’s College currently has an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Head of Netball who will have primary responsibility for the strategic direction, leadership and oversight of both the netball programmes at RGC that enable pupils to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will undertake the following tasks:

  • Implement and develop a Netball curriculum to be delivered within Sports Sessions, Co-curricular School Clubs and provides appropriate opportunities for all levels of Netball (Participation and Performance);
  • Ensure all risk management documents are in place and implemented by all coaching staff (in conjunction with nursing staff and the Director of Sport);

Coaching

  • Be an outstanding coach of Netball, leading by example and supporting other staff in their coaching development;
  • Build a culture of excellence, innovation and learning that supports pupil development throughout Netball at RGC;
  • Coordinate individual and small group specialist training sessions outside of games and training, in liaison with the Director of Sport;
  • Organise and lead RGC Netball Camps;
  • Manage School-wide pre-season training programmes to ensure that players of all abilities are nurtured effectively and are fully prepared for the playing season; and
  • Deliver lessons throughout the week to support the 3-18 College Sports Programme.
