Robert Gordon’s College is seeking an HR Operations Officer to join our busy team. This a full-time role working onsite, which will support the operations function with the provision of a comprehensive and effective HR service across all departments of the College. In this role the successful candidate will work closely with the HR Operations Lead by providing an effective HR administrative service focussed on transactional HR tasks, processing payroll on a monthly basis and maintaining the HR system.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Payroll administration, including collation of data for our external payroll provider, updating our internal payroll sheet and reviewing information to ensure accuracy;
  • Maintaining the HR system, including creating and maintaining staff records, absence recording and reporting, the provision of analytical data, and maintaining legislative compliance;
  • HR Administration tasks, specifically preparation of staff letters and communications, including contracts, variations, and other relevant notifications, on-boarding of new staff, including processing PVGs and contacting referees, off-boarding staff, including sending out relevant documentation, conducting exit interviews, and retrieving college property and support with other HR tasks as required.
  • First point of contact in the HR department for general employee queries relating to people policies, procedures and contracts.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of two years HR experience;
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel / Google sheets to manage data;
  • Experience maintaining accurate employee information using databases;
  • Detail-focussed;
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
