St Philip’s School provides specialist Residential Care and Education to young people aged 10 – 18 years, who have a range of additional support needs, including social, emotional and behavioural development. We are currently recruiting for Residential Child Care Workers as we develop and expand the range of services available to our young people. Staff will be required to work between our Airdrie and Blackwood campus.

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, energetic, caring and committed individuals to join our care team. As a Residential Child Care Worker you will have the proven ability to develop positive, nurturing relationships with young people and their families.

You must have knowledge of the care planning process and case working and be willing to go the extra mile in supporting our young people. You will ensure that your practice complies with policy and procedures, trauma informed principles and in line with regulatory, statutory requirements as well as The Promise.

Applicants with a current UK Driving License would be desirable.

Successful candidates must have HNC Social Care/SVQ 3 or working towards this.

Successful applicants will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within the first six months of employment.

These posts are regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
