UHI Shetland is looking for a motivated part-time Cafeteria Assistant to work within our Briggistanes Café, 40 weeks per year on a term-time only basis. The anticipated working hours are between 9am and 2.30pm Monday to Friday to cover the busy lunch period although we are happy to negotiable working hours up to 25 hours per week. We are looking for someone to deliver a customer focussed service as part of a small team, and support the preparation of meals and snacks to customers. It would be beneficial for the Cafeteria Assistant to be confident in handling cash and operating of tills and card machines but support and training will be provided.

The successful candidate should demonstrate a customer focussed approach and will ideally have some experience in a service industry or similar environment. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate a good level of competency in Maths or English and will be required to obtain a Basic Food Hygiene certificate if they do not already possess one.
