UHI Shetland has a vacancy for a full-time Engineering SVQ Assessor within the Technology, Engineering, Maritime and Built Environment Section. This role will require the successful candidate to plan, carry out and record on-site assessments of Engineering Modern Apprentices throughout Shetland.

Applicants must be educated to SVQ 3 or equivalent level in a relevant area, and hold an A1 Assessor Award, or be willing to work towards this. Considerable experience of working in a variety of workplace settings and an in-depth knowledge of good practice in an appropriate setting is required. Knowledge of the content, structure and assessment of SVQs in the relevant curriculum area is essential.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Shetland to meet the operational requirements of the Section.
