Police Scotland is responsible for policing across the country with a workforce of over 20,000 officers and staff. Our dedicated finance team play an important role in supporting funding, which is crucial to ensuring we protect the safety of people, places and communities across Scotland.

We are currently recruiting for a wide range of job roles in our finance department. We’re looking for professionals who can support stakeholders, provide financial insight and challenge, and deliver the best value to support operational policing.

To support the Senior Finance Business Partners in bringing about cultural change to build a commercial mind set across the organisation in order to imbed delivery of optimal value for public money at an enterprise wide level.

To support the development of a range of income generating initiatives beyond the existing activities undertaken by Police Scotland, ensuring that there is a full understanding of the cost base of providing each activity so that full cost recovery can take place.

To be the national lead for delivering all aspects of financial planning, monitoring and reporting support across Police Scotland in respect of all major events and operations. In assuring the robustness of the financial data, compliance with relevant legislation, financial regulations, accounting codes of practice and best practice is key.

The role requires collaborative working across Police Scotland as well as with external partners/agencies providing advice and guidance on all finance related business issues.

Starting salary for the role is £45,621
