Police Scotland is responsible for policing across the country with a workforce of over 20,000 officers and staff. Our dedicated finance team play an important role in supporting funding, which is crucial to ensuring we protect the safety of people, places and communities across Scotland.

We are currently recruiting for a wide range of job roles in our finance department. We’re looking for professionals who can support stakeholders, provide financial insight and challenge, and deliver the best value to support operational policing.

The Finance Business Intelligence Analyst supports the Senior Finance BI Analysts and wider Finance team and their customers in the provision of effective management accounting, maintaining the aggregated financial records and influencing cost management decisions through the provision of commercial and financial expertise and ensuring compliance with the organisation-wide governance framework.

The Finance Business Intelligence Analyst will work with stakeholders in other teams within Finance to ensure that the integrity of all accounting records are maintained and accurate and deliver excellent analytics. They will identify and build compelling proposals to maximise business performance, and provide the right information to help business partners and budget holders make good decisions about costs, resources and capital. They will also support finance leads in the delivery of robust planning, budgeting and reporting processes consistently across Police Scotland.

The Finance BI Analyst will be required to undertake tasks across the BI function as directed by the Senior Finance BI Manager and Senior Finance BI Analysts.

Starting salary for the role is £34,978
