Financial Lead

Police Scotland is responsible for policing across the country with a workforce of over 20,000 officers and staff. Our dedicated finance team play an important role in supporting funding, which is crucial to ensuring we protect the safety of people, places and communities across Scotland.

We are currently recruiting for a wide range of job roles in our finance department. We’re looking for professionals who can support stakeholders, provide financial insight and challenge, and deliver the best value to support operational policing.

The Finance Lead will provide a professional, efficient, and expert finance service, leading on all financial aspects of the roll out and implementation of the Enabling Services Review (ESR).

The Finance Lead will engage with the core ESR team, external service providers, finance business partners and business area leads to provide strategic leadership in the identification of efficiencies throughout the ESR discovery phase and overseeing the implementation of efficiency plans and overall tracking of benefits.

The Finance Lead will develop a future L&D plan to upskill themselves and the wider finance function so to build internal capability to take this forward in conjunction with externally procured professional services.

Starting salary for role is £66,829
