Key responsibilities of the role include -

  • To act as the designated person responsible for delivering organisational governance around the development, and implementation of HR Policy.
  • To direct and manage the end to end process in relation to all employment related policies, procedures and associated guidance, ensuring compliance with UK and Scottish Government legislation, specifically the general duties of the Equality Act 2010, Police Regulations and Determinations, and access to (policy) information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
  • To lead, develop and performance manage the HR Policy team, ensuring work is co-ordinated and completed to a high standard within agreed timescales in support of HR strategies, initiatives, priorities and plans.
  • To provide deep and specialist high quality, consistent advice, knowledge and guidance to customers, stakeholders and team members in line with organisational values.
  • To work in partnership with colleagues and other internal stakeholders to raise awareness, increase compliance and ensure that employment policy is integrated fully within organisational objectives. Collaborate and support the wider HR team in the delivery of organisational and departmental priorities, initiatives and activities.
