As a member of the Human Resources team, you can make a real difference by providing expert workforce planning support to specific areas of the business.

You will ensure each department has a workforce plan that complies with best practice methodology and remains financially sustainable.

These plans must feed into the strategic priorities of the service, encompassing both short-to-medium-term scenario planning to address immediate requirements. Additionally, you will focus on longer-term capability, capacity, and design to meet the future requirements of effective and efficient policing services.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Collaborate with Finance colleagues exerting budgetary influence on revenue expenditure as it relates to staffing, with clear focus on affordability to ensure short, medium and long-term workforce plans are robust and correlate to agreed financial plans.
  • Support delivery of the Strategic Workforce Plan (SWP), contributing to the effective embed of SWP and related data analysis.
  • To lead, develop and performance manage the HR Advisors within the Workforce Planning team within Organisational Development, ensuring work is co-ordinated and completed to a high standard within agreed timescales in support of HR strategies, initiatives, priorities and plans.
