ABOUT THE JOB

To design, develop, administer, programme, support and maintain enterprise database systems and services, in accordance with agreed standards and to assist in providing a strategic co-ordination of these technologies within the general ICT environment across Police Scotland and the SPA.

ABOUT YOU

You will be educated to degree level in a related computer science or software engineering discipline.

You will have knowledge and experience of relational database system management principles and practices; database design (logical and physical) and implementation; and the development and administration of relational database management systems, including a good working knowledge of SQL.

You will have knowledge and experience of database backup and recovery technology and associated processes; Oracle 10g or above; and database design (logical and physical) and implementation

This full time post is permanent and will require Management Level + Security Clearance Vetting. You will work 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00.
