As part of the team working in the Specialist Crime Division you can make a real difference by supporting the provision of the Technical Support Unit to our officers and staff.
Key Responsibilities -
To control, maintain, replace and issue technical equipment to the Technical Support Unit based within the West area. To maintain and manage databases relative to Technical Equipment predominantly within the West area but assist as required throughout the Force area to ensure compliance with the Office of Surveillance Commissioners.
The TSU manage and maintain a high volume of technical equipment nationally and candidates with the following key skills are encouraged to apply:
- Flexible worker
- Experience in the use of computerised Asset/stock management systems
- Experience of planning and carrying out equipment audits
- Experience of report writing
- Assembly of technical equipment both off the shelf and bespoke builds
- Experience of Portable appliance testing
This role will be Monday-Friday 0900-1700.
The post holder will be required to drive therefore a driving licence is essential.
A driving licence with C1E is desirable but not essential for the post.
The successful candidate will need to complete and pass MV & NSV vetting (5 years or more residency within the UK is required)
