ABOUT THE JOB

The successful candidate will develop, design, maintain and deliver a comprehensive in house Learning & Development service for Police Scotland with a focus on specialist ICT and Custody Training.

They will conduct Training Needs Analysis, engage with key stakeholders; design, deliver and evaluate training, using multiple formats, with suitable assessment strategies in place to ensure provision of a relevant, accurate and professional training service. 

They will supervise students to establish that learning objectives are met to course specifications and agreed quality standards. They will work with other departments to provide subject matter expertise and contribute to the change control process.

ABOUT YOU

You will be educated to a minimum of SCQF level 8 qualification in a relevant learning and development subject and hold a Diploma in Training, Learning and Assessment (can be completed whilst in post). Or, a combination of relevant qualifications and experience in a related field.

You will hold a college of Policing accreditation to deliver PNC, ViSOR, PND training (can be completed whilst in post).

You will have a good level of Digital literacy and proficiency using various software packages; and hardware such as projectors, smartboards.

You will have the ability to work under pressure and prioritise work to ensure deadlines are met.

This full time post is permanent and will require Standard Recruitment Vetting. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 0900 – 1700.

This location for this role is Flexible with a base location available of any LTD IT Training site: Aberdeen, Dundee, East Kilbride, Edinburgh, Glenrothes, Inverness, Tulliallan.
