The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the post of EUC (End User Computing) Analyst, based in the DaTSs Digital and Technology Services) Workshop at the Dundee Asset Resource on a permanent basis. This is a full-time opportunity, working 35 hours per week.
This is a full-time post however applications from individuals seeking to work on a part time, job share, or flexible working basis would be considered.
The successful candidate will be required to provide exceptional quality and customer-centric support to all SFRS end users in line with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ITIL service management principles. This includes Incident Resolution, Service Request fulfilment, Problem Management, and Change Enablement. Duties involve deploying, installing, and supporting all End User Computing (EUC) devices across the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service estate, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and printers. The post holder will work within a national team and contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
The candidate will be required to have an HNC in a Digital or Technology related discipline or equivalent experience, along with demonstrable experience in installing, configuring, and supporting client and mobile device operating systems. Familiarity with endpoint management tools and experience in providing customer-centric second-level technical support for end-user computing technologies is essential. Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as a full, valid UK driving license, are also required.
Desirable qualifications include an HND or higher in a related discipline, intermediate-level certification in EUC technology, and ITIL V4: Foundation certification. The candidate should have knowledge of cloud-hosted client services, endpoint management platforms, and common client applications. They should also be experienced in asset management, patch deployment, and working within an emergency services environment.
There is a requirement to participate in an agreed 24/7 on-call rota to provide engineering cover and advice for mobilising and essential systems. Travel throughout Scotland, where required to meet needs of SFRS or attend or conduct in person meetings. Accommodation will be provided where appropriate.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review - in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements. A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
