Payroll Assistant

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the post of Payroll Assistant based at East SDA Headquarters, Newbridge, Edinburgh within the Accounting Section on a fixed term basis.

This is a part time post working 25 hours per week however applications from individuals seeking to work on a part time, job share or flexible working basis would be considered.

The successful candidate will be required to work under the Payroll Administrator in ensuring that an efficient and effective service is provided within their allocated Service Delivery Area (SDA).

Previous experience of working in a financial/office environment with the ability to demonstrate strong numerical and organisational skills are essential. The successful candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office and have previous experience of Payroll systems and related databases. You should be able to organise and prioritise your workload and be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-changing environment whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail.
