The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the post of Project Manager (Property), with a flexible base location 

 

This is a full-time post however applications from individuals seeking to work on a part time, job share or flexible working basis would be considered.

 

Reporting to the Property Development Manager, the successful candidate will support the Property Development Manager in the development and implementation of strategic and asset development programs and project plans. The role involves the management and administration of projects from inception stage through to construction phase and completion, reporting thereon as appropriate, to ensure high standards are maintained. 

 

Applicants require to hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, together with 5 years post qualification project management experience within property/construction fields in a similar senior role. Ideally you will have a full membership of the relevant professional body and be qualified or experienced in Prince2 or other project management methodology. 

 

Proficient in the use of appropriate ICT equipment to assist in the effective collation, analysis and presentation of information, the successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team, with minimal supervision and will need to be able to effectively manage competing demands and time pressures.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review - in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements.  A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated. 

 

This post is also subject to the provision of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exemptions) Scotland Order 2013. Therefore, the successful candidate's will be subject to a Standard Disclosure record check through Disclosure Scotland.
