Argyll Community Housing Association is seeking to recruit a dynamic, highly motivated and innovative individual to manage our Property Services Team as we embark on a programme of change and transformation to ensure that our structures and services are fit for the future.
The Role
The successful candidate will lead and manage the capital investment programme, asset management strategy, reactive repairs and maintenance contract, cyclical maintenance contracts and health and safety compliance, by ensuring that statutory and regulatory requirements are met through the provision of high quality services to internal and external customers and regulatory bodies.
You will be required to lead, motivate, manage and provide the property services team members with appropriate support, welfare and resources to carry out their day to day work safely and effectively, ensuring the highest levels of customer care and satisfaction.
You will work closely with tenants, factored owners, colleagues across the ACHA Group, contractors and external partners to resolve property enquiries, support project outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement across our property services. ACHA provides more than 5100 homes for rent across the Argyll and Bute area.
About You
We are looking for an experienced property services professional with strong leadership skills and an excellent understanding of governance and compliance, to ensure we provide an effective and safe service for our tenants in their homes.
Holding or being prepared to achieve a professional qualification in building, construction, housing or other relevant subject is essential for this role.
You will have:
· Demonstrable and extensive experience in a property maintenance role at senior management level
· Experience in delivering housing investment programmes, including at least five years in a senor management capacity
· Capability to deliver a complex range of services and identifying actions to deliver improvement
· Experience of building contract management, including interpretation and decision making on construction contracts.
· Knowledge of building contracts and procedures, including health & safety in construction
· The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences including writing policies, procedures, tender documents and analytical reports.
· The ability to provide excellent customer service
