Barnardo's Hear 4u - Children's Hearings Advocacy Service.

We believe in children and our extensive range of projects and services across Scotland help to lift them out of all forms of poverty, abuse and discrimination. These services include our Hear 4u Advocacy Service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Independent Advocate to join our service.

In this key role you will provide an independent advocacy service for children and young people at all stages of their involvement in the Children's Hearing System. This service is delivered as part of the National Advocacy Service for the Children's Hearing System funded by the Scottish Government.

Alongside the delivery of advocacy you will also contribute to service promotion, development and evaluation. Experience of working directly with children, young people and families in a paid or voluntary setting will be essential, along with a sound understanding of child protection issues and a current driving license and access to a car for business purposes.

Experience of advocating on behalf of children and/or young people is desirable.

Posts are initially funded until 31st March 2021, extension subject to further funding agreement with the Scottish Government.
