Berwickshire Housing Association (BHA) is a Registered Social Landlord, not-for-profit organisation established in 1995. BHA builds and manages homes to rent to suit a range of lifestyles, personal needs and family sizes that people can afford. We do so in communities throughout Berwickshire and are ever keen to expand the number and choice of homes available. We are passionate about our role in providing individuals, couples and whole families with a home in which they can live their life to the full in a safe, comfortable and attractive setting.

We are committed to building new affordable homes when we can, trying to reduce fuel poverty and supporting the people who live in our homes to succeed in their lives.
With our partners, Community Energy Scotland (CES) a charity that supports Scottish communities we have created the first wind farm developed by a Housing Association in the UK. Uniquely all profits go to the community, helping to build new homes and support local community projects.

We also provide independent living accommodation in Eyemouth, Coldstream and Duns as well as childcare for children aged from 3 months up to 8 years at our day nursery, Little Reivers.

With the support of Big Lottery funding we also run a successful Befriending Project, making a difference to the lives of older people, through companionship and support and our Financial Inclusion Project Team also help households in Berwickshire claim benefits.

Our vision is “creating thriving rural communities”.
