The Birks Cinema Trust is a charity which owns and manages The Birks Cinema in Aberfeldy. With around 21,000 people already visiting our cultural programme and 5,500 for our community programme, we now intend to launch a Creative Learning and Education Programme.
This programme for young people and our community will be developed in the context of the inclusion of screen and film education in the Curriculum for Excellence Schools curriculum and involve other artforms including drama and music. A stakeholder consultation, feasibility study, and design of an education programme are required, which will also be developed in conjunction with other arts and culture organisations within Highland Perthshire.
Birks Cinema Trust is now recruiting a Creative Learning and Education Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead on the development of this programme.
