We are looking to recruit a permanent part-year Field Officer to assist us on a full time/part time basis at peak times as and when required, particularly during the period September – November each year. Additional hours may be available out with this period on an ad hoc basis.

Who we are

Central Scotland Valuation Joint Board covers the Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling Council areas and is responsible for compiling and maintaining the Valuation Roll for Non-Domestic Rates and the Valuation List for Council Tax. The Assessor is also the Electoral Registration Officer for the three Councils. The Board employs approximately 45 people and our office is at Glendevon House, Castle Business Park, Stirling, FK9 4TZ. Further information about the Board is available at www.saa.gov.uk/central/

What the job is

We are currently looking to recruit a Field Officer to assist our busy administration and valuation teams.

Field Officers regularly visit properties (particularly during the Annual Canvass in the Autumn of each year) to support the registration of individuals onto the electoral register. Additionally, this role also supports the wider Administration Team completing the same duties as the Administration Officers when not out visiting properties. This role will be primarily focused on visiting properties.

This role would suit an individual with good interpersonal skills who can engage with all types of people, who can plan and work independently, enjoys visiting all parts of the region and does not wish to work full-time all year round.

Working Pattern

September to November (other opportunities may be available at other times of the year).

What the qualification requirements are

You should possess at least four standard grades or equivalent, which must include English & Maths. Applicants should exhibit attention to detail and be able to ensure accuracy in work produced.
