About the Role
The Trainee Carpentry & Joinery Instructor will play a pivotal role in developing our young workforce and supporting the wider City Building team. You will mentor apprentices by modelling professional behaviours, providing constructive performance feedback, and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where all young people can thrive.
As part of the training team, you will contribute to the delivery of bespoke courses, attending events, and work collaboratively with a range of customers and stakeholders. You will also participate in team meetings to review apprentice and course progress, ensuring training delivery meets the standards of external accreditation bodies and aligns with City Building’s commitment to excellence
What You Will Bring
You will bring strong practical carpentry and joinery experience, ideally gained across both domestic and construction environments, and a genuine interest in developing others.
Effective communication and collaboration skills is essential, as the role requires regular interaction with apprentices, colleagues, and staff across the organisation.
