Public Health Scotland is a new and ambitious partnership between the Scottish Government and Local Government. This new public body will provide national leadership to improve and protect the health and wellbeing of the people of Scotland and tackle persistent health inequalities that impact many of our communities.

Applications are invited to be the very first Non-Executive Board members for Public Health Scotland, which comes into operation in April 2020.

It is important that the Public Health Scotland Board is able to draw on diverse experience and wide-ranging skills, recruiting talented individuals from across the public, private, third sector and communities, who are passionate about reducing inequality and improving the population’s health.

The role will take up around one day per week, although this may be more intensive in the run-up to and initial period following the launch of Public Health Scotland in April 2020. Remuneration for this position is £8,416 per annum.

An application pack and full details on these and other public appointments can be found at our dedicated public appointments website: www.appointed-for-scotland.org
