Play Worker

Based at Dalmuir CE Centre, Duntocher Rd, Clydebank G81 4RQ, we are looking for candidate who has experience of working in a similar role; of being responsible for young children in a childcare or other setting, to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children, implementing planned activities, delivering a variety of stimulating play activities which will aid the social, intellectual, emotional and physical development of children.

You should have knowledge of Health and Social Care Standards my support my life principles, SSSC Codes of Practice (SSSC) and an awareness of Getting it Right for Every Child model of care (GIFFEC). You should be able to demonstrate good listening and communication skills, with basic computer skills.

The normal hours for this post is 16 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.

The hours are split between two shifts:

Morning 7.45am to 9.00am / Afternoon 3.00pm to 6.00pm.

Hours may be increased during school holiday periods depending on the needs of the service.
