Are you a problem solver at heart? Do you thrive on digging deep into data, uncovering patterns, and delivering insights that make a real impact? If you're curious, analytical, and love turning numbers into actionable solutions, we have the perfect role for you.
We’re seeking a Business Analyst to join our Finance Team. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to sharpen their skills, enhance data efficiency, and contribute meaningfully to Edinburgh Leisure's mission to make a difference.
Your skills and knowledge will provide insights into how we improve our processes, so it is essential that you:
- Have a relevant degree in statistics, business analysis or similar and proven experience in providing technical business analysis.
- Are proficient in business intelligence tools and data manipulation software, including Excel, PowerBI, and MRM, with the ability to research, collect, evaluate data, and create impactful reports effectively.
- Possess strong analytical skills with a structured approach to problem-solving, a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy, and the ability to organize and present data clearly and logically.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, effectively conveying complex ideas in an accessible manner.
- Demonstrate strong organizational abilities, creativity in developing solutions, and the capacity to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining efficiency and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data & Insights: Designing and enhancing business intelligence reports, analyzing data trends, and presenting findings in clear, accessible formats like charts, graphs, and tables. Synthesizing data to identify opportunities for process improvements and better resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with teams across the organization to deliver actionable insights and tailored solutions. Training colleagues to maximize their use of available data tools and resources.
- Reporting & Automation: Developing, refining, and managing both standard and ad-hoc reports, ensuring they meet organisational needs. Streamlining operations by maintaining and optimizing automated systems for efficiency.
- System Support: Overseeing the administration of the TechOne system, including implementing updates, adjustments, and improvements to ensure smooth operation.
In return, we offer:
- Generous holiday allowance (32 days, rising with service up to 40 days)
- Paid sick leave
- Company pension
- Flexible working hours
- Opportunities for training, career growth and development
- Free membership across all our centres with access to fitness classes, gyms, and swimming pools
- Cycle-to-work scheme
- Access to discounts with a huge number of retailers (saving money in cinemas, restaurants, clothing, and electronics shops, on insurance and healthcare and much more)
This is a hybrid role with time spent between our head office at Meadowbank, home working and working from other venues as the need arises.
