HS001 - Personal Support Assistant

Support a young person to enjoy community activities, build confidence and develop independence.

We're looking for a caring, patient and reliable Personal Support Assistant to support a 16-year-old young man to access activities within his local community.

This rewarding role involves accompanying him on outings such as visits to the park and other community activities, while promoting his independence, confidence and wellbeing. Ensuring his safety at all times is essential, and the successful candidate will provide positive, encouraging support to help him enjoy new experiences and achieve his goals.

Hours will generally be after 4pm Monday to Friday and at weekends; however, flexibility is required as support arrangements may change in line with his complex needs.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Kind, patient and reliable

• Experience supporting autistic individuals is desirable

• Positive and encouraging approach

• Flexible and adaptable to changing needs

• Driver with access to a vehicle

• Punjabi language skills desirable but not essential

• Knowledge of Makaton desirable but not essential
