Job Description

SUPPORT A FUN, CREATIVE YOUNG PERSON TO BUILD CONFIDENCE & INDEPENDENCE

We're looking for a friendly and reliable Personal Assistant to support a bright and fun teenager living with a rare neurological condition which affects her mobility and energy levels.

She enjoys acting, writing stories, watching TV, chatting and gaming, and is looking for someone who can provide practical support while encouraging her independence.

The role includes helping with her morning routine, getting to and from school, and spending time together before or after school. The PA will also provide support if she becomes too fatigued to complete the school day.

KEY ACTIVITIES

? Supporting her interests and hobbies

? Helping with school routines and travel

? Driving to and from school, including transporting her wheelchair

❤️ Supporting with morning routines and personal care where required

? Spending time together enjoying TV, gaming, chatting and other activities

? Encouraging independence and confidence

?️ Providing reassurance and support when plans change

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Friendly, patient and reliable

• Calm and adaptable

• Comfortable providing personal care if required

• Enjoys chatting and spending time with young people

• Experience of disability is desirable but not essential

HOURS

Wednesday: Approximately 8.30am–5.30pm

Friday: Approximately 8.30am–1.00pm

While she is attending school, the PA will remain available in case she needs to be collected. If she completes her school day, the PA will collect her and provide support until the end of the shift.
