RC001 - Personal Support Assistant

SUPPORT A YOUNG WOMAN TO LIVE AN ACTIVE & INDEPENDENT LIFE

We're looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support a sociable young woman to enjoy the activities she loves, explore new opportunities and achieve her personal goals.

She has a great sense of humour and enjoys spending time with others. From horse riding and dancing to cinema trips, music, board games and getting out into the community, she enjoys making the most of every opportunity.

This rewarding role is about providing person-centred support while promoting her independence, choice, communication and wellbeing.

KEY ACTIVITIES

? Supporting horse riding and leisure activities

? Encouraging hobbies such as dancing and music

? Supporting cinema trips and community outings

? Enjoying shopping, getting her nails done and choosing jewellery

? Playing games and spending quality time together

❤️ Supporting with PEG feeding — full training provided

?️ Maintaining seizure awareness and responding appropriately

? Promoting independence, choice, communication and dignity

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Caring, patient and reliable

• Friendly and enthusiastic

• Respectful and committed to person-centred support

• Previous experience with additional support needs, autism or learning disabilities is desirable

• Willing to undertake required training

• Comfortable learning PEG feeding and epilepsy awareness procedures

• Able to build a positive and trusting relationship

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE SPECIAL?

You'll help a young woman live life to the fullest by supporting her to enjoy the things she loves, try new activities, build confidence and maintain her independence.

Full training will be provided, so previous experience with PEG feeding or epilepsy is not essential for the right person.
