Litter Operative

Fife Coast and Countryside Trust are seeking a Litter Operative to carry out cleaning duties under the direction of the Litter Lead Hand. The role includes removing litter from beaches, grass areas, roads, paths etc, using the necessary tools and equipment; emptying litter bins; and cleaning and maintaining coastal public toilets.

Location: Leven Heritage Rail Yard, with regular travel to FCCT sites in Fife

Salary: £23,783

Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week, (which may include occasional weekend / evening work which is paid @Time + 1/3)

Contract Type: Permanent

• Literate and numerate
• Working knowledge of safe working practices.

• Enthusiasm for the role and flexibility to meet changing needs.
• Valid driving licence.

• Able to travel independently throughout Fife.

Work will be delivered over a five-day shift pattern including weekend and evening work as required. Successful applicants will be expected to start in post by January 2025 although some flexibility is possible.
