Nature Nurture Coordinator

Fife Coast and Countryside Trust (FCCT) are seeking a Nature Nurture Coordinator to join our dynamic and effective Conservation and Engagement team.

Location: The Pitcairn Centre, Moidart Drive, Glenrothes, KY7 6ET

Salary: £31,761.26 to £34,914.86

Hours: Part-time, 21.6 hours per week (including regular evening/weekend work)

Contract Type: Fixed Term till 31st March 2029

About the role:

The Nature Nurture Programme Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, development and quality assurance of the Nature Nurture programme. This includes programme planning and design, outreach and partnership working with schools, managing referral pathways, overseeing safeguarding and GDPR‑compliant data management, and leading monitoring, evaluation and reporting.

Working closely with the Delivery Specialist and a range of statutory and third‑sector partners, the coordinator ensures the programme delivers consistent, high‑quality, trauma‑informed support to children in P1–4 and their parents or carers. In addition to coordination and oversight, the coordinator is also expected to support frontline delivery, and must therefore be confident and comfortable facilitating outdoor, nature‑based session work with children and families. The role plays a key part in ensuring the programme aligns with Fife’s Our Minds Matter framework, GIRFEC principles and national mental health priorities, providing early, preventative support that strengthens family relationships and emotional wellbeing.

About you:

You are an organised, reflective and partnership focused practitioner with a strong commitment to children’s emotional wellbeing and early intervention. You are comfortable balancing strategic oversight with practical coordination, and you bring a calm, values‑led approach to working with families, schools and partners.

Essential criteria includes:

• Relevant qualification (mental health, education, youth work, social care, childcare, psychology or related) or equivalent experience
• Experience of work within the Third Sector
• Knowledge of children’s emotional wellbeing and family support
• Successful track record in community engagement, development and multi-agency partnership working within a variety of stakeholder groups
• Social inclusion policies and agenda
• Experience in planning, delivering and evaluating outdoor based sessions
• Balancing operational with strategic priorities
• Experience working in a school / education setting and referral based services.
• Highly effective in organising, communicating and managing own workload
• Effective communicator and collaborative team member with strong relationship‑building skills
• Confident handling sensitive data and safeguarding matters
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed, able to prioritise and manage competing requirements, with a flexible approach with an ability to meet deadlines
• Highly innovative and experienced in designing new systems and processes
• Diplomatic, flexible and empathetic to other views whilst able to get own opinions across.
• Driving License
• Access to a car
• Post holder will be required to travel extensively across Fife.

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
