Job Description

Contract Type: Full-time - 36 hours per week. The role will have core hours of 3pm till 6pm Monday to Friday, with the remaining hours being agreed with the Activities Manager. Location: Michael Woods Sports & Leisure Centre, Glenrothes Closing Date: Sunday 13th October 2024 Interview Dates: To be confirmed Are you passionate about gymnastics and able to inspire your team and customers with your enthusiasm for the sport? Do you love gymnastics so much that you would like to make a career out of it? Can you support the Activities Manager and be directly responsible for the effective and efficient management and development of the dryside/sport programme, including gymnastics throughout Fife? This role will involve working with key partners to deliver dryside/sport opportunities throughout Fife for all levels of participants. The post holder will be a member of the Activities Management team with a key role to maximise the performance of participation in all dryside services in line with key strategic objectives. Requirements

Educated to SCQF level 6 or equivalent Membership of a relevant professional body Relevant work experience Experience of contributing to the implementation of strategies which lead to the increase of income and attendances within the dryside programme

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to staff employed within Participation team. Responsible for maximising income from the dryside programme (which includes participation programme, hiring of facilities and long-term leases). Monitor the dryside income and expenditure budget, providing with updates on the spend and agreed outcomes in line with Company policies and financial regulations ensuring good value and reporting on a regular basis to the Activities Manager for approval. Oversee and manage the use of private providers, providing sporting programmes within FSLT venues. Develop the growth of the dryside programme ensuring that they are cost effective and delivered to high standards. Keep ahead of trends providing a business case for the Activities Manager to consider and approved Support the implementation of effective performance management systems with clear operational standards and procedures, regular monitoring, analysing and reporting results. Provide clear direction and support to employees to ensure they understand FSLT’s Mission and Vision and are fully equipped to deliver a quality service. Oversee the planning and development of the Participation Co-ordinators work plan and create a culture that encourages and recognises new business ideas and processes.
