Fife Sports and Leisure Trust (FSLT) is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Volunteer Development Lead to drive the next phase of our volunteering journey.
Having achieved significant growth in our volunteer programme and secured Investing in Volunteers accreditation, we are investing further in volunteering to support our communities, enhance wellbeing, and create pathways into employment. As Volunteer Development Lead, you will play a key role in delivering our Volunteering Vision and supporting major initiatives including our Summer of Sport programme.

Requirements
- Has experience of recruitment, training, engagement or employability programmes.
- Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Can analyse data and demonstrate the impact of volunteering initiatives.
- Shares our values and commitment to inclusion, wellbeing and community engagement.
- Is flexible to working hours to include evenings and weekends.
- Has full U.K. Driving Licence, insurance for business use and own transport for which the HMRC travel allowance will be paid.
Responsibilities
About the Role
You will lead the recruitment, development, retention and recognition of volunteers across FSLT, ensuring volunteers are well supported and able to make a meaningful contribution within our services.
Working closely with managers, community partners and volunteers, you will:
- Lead the planning, delivery and review of FSLT's volunteer programme.
- Develop innovative recruitment campaigns to attract a diverse range of volunteers.
- Create pathways that support personal development, employability and progression into paid work.
- Coordinate and deliver volunteer and staff training programmes.
- Build effective partnerships with schools, colleges, employability organisations and community groups.
- Promote volunteering opportunities throughout Fife.
- Monitor and evaluate volunteer impact, engagement and outcomes.
- Support managers to create positive and rewarding volunteering experiences.
- Champion volunteer recognition and celebration activities.
The Individual
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about volunteering and community development.
- Has experience coordinating, developing or managing volunteer programmes, community projects or workforce initiatives.
- Can build positive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
