Lead an exciting new Participation & Engagement programme that connects current and former Young Carers, builds peer support and mentoring opportunities, and ensures young people's voices shape services across Fife.

Role

Fife Young Carers is looking for an enthusiastic and relationship-focused Participation & Engagement Coordinator to help coordinate and grow an exciting new programme supporting Young Adult Carers across Fife.

Working as part of our award-winning organisation, you will help connect current and former Young Carers, creating opportunities for engagement, mentoring, participation, storytelling and peer support. You will play a key role in ensuring lived experience is at the heart of how services are shaped and delivered.

A central part of the role will be building and supporting a network of former Young Carers who can contribute as mentors, role models and lived experience leaders. Together, you will help create opportunities for connection, reduce isolation and inspire confidence in young people navigating the transition into adulthood.

You'll also help us reach and engage Young Adult Carers who may be hidden or not currently accessing support, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.

We're looking for someone who:

· Has experience engaging with young people or young adults

· Can build trusted relationships and create inclusive spaces

· Is confident facilitating groups, discussions and participation activities

· Understands the value of lived experience and co-production

· Is passionate about improving outcomes for young people

  • Is motivated by the opportunity to coordinate and grow a new programme

Experience of working with Young Carers, or around mentoring, participation or employability would be welcome but is not essential.

Why join us?

This is an opportunity to help create a lasting legacy for Young Adult Carers across Fife. You will be supported through supervision, training and specialist consultancy support as you grow the programme and shape its future direction.

Together, we want to ensure Young Adult Carers feel connected, heard, valued and confident about their future.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

This Position is subject to an enhanced disclosure check.

Benefits

· Pension-6% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution

· Annual leave entitlement is 35 days per year pro rata inclusive of Public Holidays, rising annually until a ceiling of 40 days is reached

· Sick pay also increases for the length of service
