Volunteer Coordinator

Fife Young Carers is a highly regarded charitable organisation based in Glenrothes which provides Fife wide support to children and young adults who are carers for members of their family. Fife Young Carers provides a wide range of person-centered support to allow young carers to reach their full potential, have opportunities that may be difficult to access, and allow them to be children and young people first and foremost.

We require a Volunteer Coordinator to develop and deliver an exciting service for young carers which includes our Befriending Service.

You will be responsible for coordinating the Befriending Service for young carers aged 0-25 by recruiting and supporting a network of volunteer befrienders.

Are you enthusiastic and excited about developing this service for young carers and recognise the value and the impact of volunteers on a service, if so, Fife Young Carers is for you.

You must be driven, passionate, have a flexible and creative approach to working, be computer literate, and an effective networker. Experience of training or working with volunteers would be an advantage.

The position is subject to an enhanced disclosure check.

Part time: 17.5 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Salary: £25,607 to £26,390 (pro rata)
