Assistant Area Civil Engineer

Forest and Land Scotland (FLS) are looking for a Civil Engineer to manage the team and programme of work in the West of Scotland. We are responsible for managing public land from Campbeltown to Lochaber and over to the Isle of Mull.

You will support and manage the team which plans and builds new roads and bridges, identifies and manages quarry sites and supports the implementation of recreation infrastructure. The role has its challenges – we have to tackle working on steep slopes, along coasts, in highly designated areas and in iconic locations. You will provide technical support, ensuring that design solutions are workable and cost effective, and help to ensure that the team manage contracts and budgets professionally.
