North Region covers Northern Scotland, from Fort Augustus to Borgie, where the national forest estate extends to around 137,000 hectares, including The isle of Skye, Glen Affric and part of the Cairngorms National Park.

The regional team is responsible for the management of timber, recreation, conservation and associated activities within its forests that support both the Scottish tourism and timber industries. This service is managed by a team of 140 staff based throughout the region who deliver the works and services through a variety of contractual arrangements.
