FLS South Region is a fantastic team who have responsibility for managing almost 170,000ha of land, with huge variety and potential, spread all the way from the Borders to the Isle of Arran.

In the South Region we sustainably produce over a million cubic metres of timber every year; replant over 2,000 ha for future generations use; build roads and bridges; support many renewable energy projects; restore opencast sites and create new woodland, restore peatlands and manage some fantastic biodiversity sites and species.

We also provide world class mountain biking opportunities and a huge range of other recreational provision and visitor centres for the public to use and enjoy. It’s a diverse and hugely impressive area of land to be responsible for and we have a great team of people who make all these good things happen, every day.
