The Role
What you will do
You will carry out all aspects of fitness to teach casework covering investigations, case adjudication, decision-making as well as the officer support associated with fitness to teach hearings. The Regulatory Investigations Officers must ensure throughout that cases are investigated properly and determined fairly and lawfully with reference to applicable policy, guidance and any defined process.
What you will need to be successful
- You have a Bachelor Degree (SCQF level 9) or equivalent vocational or work-based training and hold a legal or investigation qualification.
- You have experience in regulatory casework or equivalent.
- You have worked in a role where you had to demonstrate effective decision-making and provide advice.
- You are an excellent communicator and have experience in building and maintaining effective working partnerships with external and external users and partners.
- You have high quality written, research, analytical, influencing and advocacy skills.

Working Hours / Pattern
We see this role being based on full time working hours of 35 hours per week, however we would still like to hear from you if you are interested in the role but have alternative needs in relation to working hours or pattern.
