Post: Project Manager – Transport Integration

Location: HITRANS or Partner Local Authority Office within the HITRANS region

Salary: £35,275 - £36,826 per annum

Contract: Fixed Term (24 Month) with expectation of extension

Working Hours: 35 hours per week (Full time, Job Share or Flexible Hours considered) Fixed term for 24 months with expectation of extension

The post-holder will lead the co-ordination and delivery of the transport integration elements of the HITRANS People and Place programme, promoting modal shift away from private car use towards more active and sustainable travel. This will involve the day to day management and implementation of active travel funding streams relating to the promotion of walking and cycling, integration of active travel with public and shared transport, and related activities which HITRANS are either leading or supporting with partners.

We are looking for best candidate for the post and recognise that a full time role will not suit everyone. We will consider job-share and flexible working arrangements including a different pattern or shorter working week.

The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the area in which HITRANS operates (i.e our remit corresponds with our five local authority partner areas – Highland, Orkney Islands, Western Isles, Moray and Argyll and Bute Councils). If a working base from one of HITRANS three offices (Lairg, Inverness and Jura) is not suitable we will look to find office accommodation at one of our partner Councils.
