Job Title: Ranger

Salary: £29,633 - £33,486 (Band B1) per annum

As one of the most idyllic locations in the world, Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park is also an incredible place to work. We have a rare opportunity for a Ranger to join our highly active Ranger Service.

This is an exciting time for the National Park Authority. Working in partnership and collaboratively, there is much we can do to support the National Park - and Scotland’s - recovery from the pandemic and response to the Climate and Nature emergencies.

You’ll be working to support the delivery of the National Park Partnership Plan, 5 Year Plan and Ranger Service Operational Plan. These are key corporate initiatives that will help to conserve and protect our great National Park from the ongoing climate emergency.

You will have demonstrable experience of working in a countryside management, recreation or conservation role. You will also have strong experience of working with the public with the ability to handle and control possible difficult situations during byelaw enforcement.

This is an exciting role that will suit an outgoing individual with an excellent understanding of natural heritage and visitor management issues as well as basic countryside management & maintenance skills. Effective communication skills, both written and oral, are essential for this role as is a strong customer focus.
